The Teenagers, Seattle 1/19 @ Neumo's

The Stranger's F.I.T.S. (Eric Grandy) wrote a cheery little column about these guys yesterday so I hit up my contact at Beggars/Matador to see what the deal was. To my luck, he gave me guest spots for the show so I'll have to report back on how this goes.

"Homecoming" is one of their underground hits of 07. It's catchy and almost radio friendly but doubt it will ever hit the airwaves since it's got C bombs and F bombs. Double trouble.

Sunday morning

It's Sunday Jan 13 at about 12:40am. Just finished watching The Bourne Ultimatum which was excellent! I feel like jumping rooftops in Morrocco and driving wrecklessly down I-5. I can only imagine how much work/money it took to produce a film like that. Must be awesome to be able to just shut down 7th ave in Manhattan to shoot a chase scene. Man!

In other news... I just found out that I'll be sent to SXSW in Austin this year for my new jobby job. I'll be down there March 12-15 schmoozing w/label peeps and meeting artists. Should be fun and I can't wait wait to see what this will be like.
Also, Lou Reed is keynote speaker and Thurston Moore will be down there doing interviews. Maybe I will get to meet them?
That would be too cool.. those guys are legendary!

Happy New Year!

Whoa. It's 2008. How did 12 months fly by so fast? Let's see... Thailand in January, Las Vegas in March, Leavenworth and New York in April, Engaged in April, Florida in July, Canada in August, married in September, Florida again in October, new job in December. I suppose it was a busy year and when you're busy, the time passes quickly. It was a good run and hopefully 08 will be filled with just as many or more adventures and great milestones. Good health, happiness and joy to all. Let the games begin!
