Mission to Burma

More than a 100,000 people - including monks - took to the streets on Monday to protest about the economic issues in Myanmar (Burma) which mushroomed into into one of the largest demonstrations in South East Asia since 1998. Unfortunately it wasn't a bloodless one...

MARRIED!

We did it! Brendan and I finally tied the knot Saturday, September 22, 2007.
It was a beautiful wedding and the sun actually came out for us during our ceremony; I suppose it was meant to be! The reception was a lot of fun too. I just wish I had more time to talk to everyone that was there but it was hard with all the family, friends, stress and stimulation in your face all at once. It looked like peeps
were having a great time though cus everyone was cutting a rug after dinner!

Thanks to all that helped us make the wedding possible AND to our guests for coming out to celebrate our big day with us. We love you!

Hard to believe that it's all over now... all that planning, prepration and stress just for one nearly-perfect day... it was all worth it in the end... just wish it didn't go by so quickly!

More good memories to come.... and photos to share!

This is trippy!

Found this after looking at a post that my buddy Sean threw up the other day.
It is one of Akiyoshi Kitaoka's optical illusions...

Bumbershoot Sunday

Since I caught a nasty cold from my roadtrip last week, I decided to take it easy and stay home for Labor Day weekend while B went camping with some friends. I got restless on Sunday though, so since the Bumbershoot Music Fest was conveniently down the street from me, I wandered on over and caught a few bands... here's a few pics I took with my dinky camera phone to document the event...

Armed with a camera phone and B's $5 African Boombata hat to keep out the sun

Kings of Leon rockin it on the Samsung stage

Apples in Stereo on the Broad St lawn - it was poppy goodness

Last but not least, Devandra Banhart... best way to close out the evening.
I'd never seen him play before, but now I know what the hype is all about. His voice was so comforting & real - and the music was enchanting. Never seen a man with so much jewelrey and hair in my life get so many girls. Some chic even threw her bra onto the stage at the end of the set. It was pretty funny.

I also checked out some of the Flatstock poster art exhibit and ran into Andrio.
I regret that I didn't buy anything, but I'll see him again soon I'm sure...

Bachelorette pics finally up!
