HAPPY HAPPY DAY!!!

Words can only describe the happiness...

Manhattan is ours forever!

Champagne and Chimay on the house

Making memories in the Bowery

Greetings from Manhattan

I'm writing from the Apple store on 5th Ave. We ducked for cover in here since it's raining out.
It's too bad because Central Park is right up the street and I was hoping for a nice stroll, but the sunny weather just didn't stick...

Manhattan 2007

a sunny day in Washington Square park

Brothers that love Pastrami

The lobby in our hotel in LES (Bowery Hotel) ... hand-picked antiques and lots of dark stained wood... gorgeous

Wow.

Kickin' it with Chloe at Max Fish on a Tuesday night...she is the coolest!!!

And Rosario in the Bowery hotel the next night, wow. I think I can go the next 10 years without having to see another celebrity.

New Haven

We celebrated Brendan's 'dirty 30' at the Anchor bar in New Haven with his bro Matt + Agnus. It was so nice catching up with these 2. Much thanks to them for letting us eat, bath and sleep in their home. I miss Mama kitty already!

The Yale campus was beautiful but UW will always be the best in my mind... and mucho thanks to Agnus and Matt for showing us the way.
finally 30 at midnight

Lunch break

Had a visiting artist do ID's at work today at 2. They were promoting the new Cary Brothers album. Never heard of this guy, but I guess he is big amongst the Garden State crowd (has a couple songs on the sound track). The cello chic that played with him had a pretty voice... nice break from the usual...

Easter weekend in Leavenworth, WA - little Bavaria

Here are some photos I meant to throw up last weekend when I was in Leavenworth, a quaint little Bavarian themed village plunked in the valley of the Cascades. Nothing but crisp fresh air and nature all around. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend to go either... the sun was shining, we fed mountain goats, ate kraut sausage and ice cream and sat in the jacuzzi in the evening. Will def have to go during Christmas time to get some skiing and snowshoeing in...

Sonic Youth tribute night...

Saw Deerhunter on Tuesday night... their drowny 90s inspired reverb goodness is even better live than heard recorded. So far one of the best shows I've seen this year next to Grizzly Bear. The singer wore one of those trashy Spring Break tees that had a woman's torso silk screened on the front and back sporting a thong bikini. It was awesome. He stripped down to a lacey pink dress later in the set. The singer was strange as hell but cool as ice...

Friday night at the LoFi

Friday night was alright for fighting... yes indeed, Les and Chris were Djing at the Lo-Fi that evening.
Had a smashing good time. Saw some familiar faces and caught myself dancing to The Jam, Comet Gain, The Slits and Bow Wow Wow (thanks Les & Chris!) A couple bands played that evening too but we found ourselves at the gallery bar most the time and uh, having a Steve Perry iPod listening party outside(?!) It was fun fun fun until daddy took the T-bird away-ay....
